B Legit took some extra steps to make it original. Half the album is devoted to weed, while the other half is about drinking. He talks a lot about his childhood and what it was like growing up in the hood. While this album has its strong points, he isn't really known as a lyricist, but still his rhymes are interesting and usually follow a story line. Tryin' To Get A Buck B Legit's Solo debut was released August 28, 1993 on Sick Wid' It Records, the album peaked #41 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums.
