Bad Azz first got into the rap game in his hometown of Long Beach, playing at house parties and eventually joining the LBC Crew. After deciding to go solo, he dropped his debut Word On Tha Street. Released September 29, 1998 on Priority Records, the album peaked at #182 on the Billboard 200 chart and #32 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums.
