6 Shot - The Actual Meaning

The Actual Meaning is the debut by 6 Shot. Although it's the work of a lyrically skilled rapper, this album will be remembered more for its inventive beats than 6 Shot's lyrical prowess. The music almost seems like a ride through a comic book most of the time, like a funky city adventure. Simply put, it's hard to make a hip-hop album living in New Orleans. In an area that has Cash Money Records and No Limit Records, plus it's just tough to compete. Fortunately, this is a quality album and should put 6 Shot on the map, at least in the South with its funky, jazzy beats and catchy hooks making it a truly complete album. Released October 23, 2001 on Street Label Records.
