8Ball - Lay It Down

Lay It Down gathers up the leftovers from Eightball's late-'90s stint with Suave House label. Most of these tracks were several years old by the time they were released. They're still potent, however, albeit somewhat haphazardly produced, and showcase Eightball during his underground years, shortly before he became more well known. Though Lay It Down doesn't quite compare to Eightball's other solo albums, it's nonetheless a quality collection of vault recordings that completists should savor. Released August 13, 2002 on Suave House Records, the album peaked at #142 on the Billboard 200 chart and #30 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums.
